Gametime
Born to Nigerian father and a Georgian mother(the one near Florida not the one fighting Russia), you could say Del Olaleye lives in two worlds. One world consists of watching every teen drama known to man. The O.C. and Gossip Girl being his favorites. The other world consists of being so sports-crazed that he knows the career path of former Oregon tight end Justin Peelle. He currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons by the way. With no love for anything Boston related you can find Del booing the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots on a daily basis. Doug Flutie being on top of the list of least liked Boston area athletes.
Following in the footsteps of former Gametime host Raheel Ramzanali, Olaleye interned for first John then John and Lance. Unlike Ramzanali he does realize Colt McCoy and Vince Young are just very talented football players and not Gods. A proud member of the Alvin Community College family he credits there broadcasting department for giving him his start. When Del is not doing carny work for an unmentioned amusement center. He avidly roots for all things Miami, except the Panthers and Marlins. That’s where his California back ground comes in. Growing up in southern California made Del an Angels and Ducks fan, throughout there many name changes. The city of Anaheim has a bit of an inferiority complex.
Gametime airs every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 2 to 6PM. It is 1560’s local show each weekend afternoon.
